The Rosie Project

The Rosie Project

Book Review - The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

This book is about an "oddly charming, socially challenged genetics professor" as he embarks on his journey to find a suitable wife. Don Tillman hasn't even been on a second date, so when an acquaintance tells him he would make a great husband, it comes as a surprise. But based on statistical probability, it is likely that there is someone out there for everyone. So Don designs The Wife Project which is designed to systematically find him a wife, much in the same way a genetic science experience might be designed. Of course, this includes a list of musts (punctual and logical) and must-nots (bartend, smoke, drink, or be tardy.)

Enter Rosie Jarman. She is seeking a DNA expert to help her find her biological father. At first appearance, she is all wrong for Don. She definitely does not meet his list of musts and must-nots. But as their friendship blossoms, The Wife Project is put on hold and The Father Project takes priority.
