Sort of Seeing Someone by Emily Bond

Love, fate, and a little wishcraft...

For most people, love is a matter of the heart. But for Moonie Miller, it’s a matter of the hand.

When she wakes up on her 26th birthday with the ability to glimpse people’s futures through palm-to-palm contact, Moonie’s world flips upside down. One minute she’s mixing candles and crystals in her Chicago apartment, the next she’s the face of an Insta-famous apothecary brand. But her visions? Those are strictly off-limits… until a certain Swedish engineer walks into her life.

Tall, analytical, and maddeningly practical, Olrik Zetterlind is everything Moonie doesn’t want in a soulmate. But fate—and her freaky new gift—has other plans.

In a city of skeptics and influencers, can a pragmatic numbers guy and a reluctant witch find something real? Or is their story just stardust and smoke?

For fans of magical realism, quirky opposites-attract rom-coms, and modern love stories with a mystical twist, Sort of Seeing Someone is spellbinding fun with heart.

About the Author: Emily Bond

Emily is the author of several beloved books, including Hot Mess, which earned a coveted starred review, and Husband Material, which you may have spotted in Target or your local bookstore. Her latest novel, Sort of Seeing Someone, is a magical realism rom-com that’s equal parts heart, humor, and a little bit of witchy sparkle—set right here in Chicago.

In addition to being an accomplished writer, Emily is a Stage 2 breast cancer survivor, a mom, and a former luxury hospitality marketing director. Her work has been featured on The Today Show, The Dr. Oz Show, BuzzFeed, The Everygirl, and more.

She lives just outside the city with her husband Matt and their son Atlas—she’ll be joining us to talk about love, intuition, creative reinvention, and what happens when you mix a little witchcraft with modern romance.
