The Break Line

The Break Line

Book Feature - The Break Line by James Brabazon

Comes out on Jan. 29!

HBL Note: One of the things I find most interesting about the book industry is that authors are often not trained/educated in creative writings. Often times authors come from diverse backgrounds that lead them, in meandering ways, to write a book. This is true for James Brabazon who had a career in journalism and filmmaking prior to writing this novel. His experiences in hostile environments informed this work as it takes places in Sierra Leone. Read more about James Brabazon in my author interview, here.

From the publisher:

In THE BREAK LINE, readers are introduced to British intelligence officer Max McLean—an assassin who’s never missed, but one mistake now has him paying the price. For years, Max has done the jobs that no one else will—but that all changes when his superiors send him to Sierra Leone on what seems to be a suicide mission. Sent to a military research facility to meet a former comrade-in-arms, Max finds the bravest man he ever knew locked up for his own protection. His friend lost his mind during an operation in West Africa. What he finds is a horror beyond his nightmares. Rebel forces are loose in the jungle and someone or something is slaughtering innocent villagers. It’s Max’s job to root out the monster behind these abominations, but he soon discovers that London may consider him the most disposable piece in this operation.
