Hot Pumpkin Pie Cocktail
Hot Pumpkin Pie Cocktail | It is still technically pumpkin season right? That continues through Christmas, surely. Or at least through the end of November? I’m not quite ready to give up pumpkin pie so I’m going to go with it. I was pretty shocked at how amazing this cocktail turned out. I’m to the point that I can’t drink pumpkin spice lattes anymore, they’re just too sweet and filled with sugar. This cocktail is better because 1) it has alcohol and 2) it isn’t nauseatingly sweet.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup @chilaorchata
- 1/2 oz vanilla vodka
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 tsp pumpkin spice
- Heavy cream for whipped cream
DIRECTIONS:
Bring almond milk, Chila ‘Orchata, and vanilla vodka to a boil in a small sauce pan. Reduce heat to a simmer and add pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice. Stir until smooth. Continue to heat on low until it is at optimal drinking temperature.
Whip heavy cream with a sprinkle of pumpkin spice until you have stiff peaks. You could also add a little Chila ‘Orchata to your whipped cream to make it a little extra boozy. Put a dollop on top of your drink. I served mine in my Grandmother’s vintage #Frankoma mugs. #ahastycocktail
