Hi.

Welcome to Hasty Book List, where I document and review the books I read. Hope you have a nice stay!

Hasty Martini

Hasty Martini

Hasty Martini | Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m making the Hasty Martini (it’s a thing! I found it in a recipe book!) for my valentine, @ewhasty. I changed the recipe slightly from what I found in the recipe book due to lack of certain ingredients and personal taste. #ahastycocktail

INGREDIENTS:
- 6 oz @tanquerayusa Malacca Gin (if there is ever a time to use this delicious gin, it is in a martini where the gin flavor really comes through.)
- 1 oz extra dry Vermouth
- 2 tsp @jackrudycocktailco Grenadine (the original recipe calls for 1 tsp but I love grenadine.)
- 1 star anise for garnish (the original recipe calls for 3-5 dashes of Pernod, which is an anise-flavored liquor. But…1- I don’t really love the flavor of anise and 2- I didn’t have Pernod.)
.
DIRECTIONS:
Fill a shaker with ice and add gin, vermouth, and grenadine. Shake like you mean it. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with star anise.
