Chai Russian
Chai Russian | Thank you to @shopbontemps for sending me a sample of your Chai Tea that inspired this recipe. I’m not much of a tea drinker (much to my dismay, as it is just the kind of lardy-dardy thing I love! Regardless, I’ll always say yes to an invitation to high tea.) Lucky for me, I found that I can tolerate Chai Tea and when mixed with a little alcohol it is downright delicious. But it is Bon Temp’s investment in women that made me want to partner with them. They invest $1,000 every month to support women in doing what they love.

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz vodka
1.5 oz Kahlua
1 oz @shopbontemps chai tea syrup (see recipe below)
1 oz heavy cream
cinnamon sticks and star anise for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Fill your glass with ice. Add vodka, Kahlua and Bon Temps Chai Tea syrup to your glass. Top with about 1oz heavy cream (more or less to taste.) Stir gently (notice I stirred not-so-gently and ended up with cream down the side of my glass.) Garnish with cinnamon sticks and star anise (they are so pretty but they smell like liquorish so I take mine out before drinking.)
INGREDIENTS (Chai Tea Syrup):
4 bags of @shopbontemps chai tea
1/8 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS (Chai Tea Syrup)
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add chai tea bags. Let steep for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and add honey. Bring to a boil and let boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Let cool before making cocktails.
