Fall Martini Recipe
I love to go to antique stores and just look around. Lately, I’ve been seeing these leaf design high ball glasses everywhere! I’m tempted to buy another set in case a glass breaks from this set I inherited from my grandparents. I waited all summer to be able to pull these out when the weather felt just right…today’s the day! Fall Martini Recipe in 3…2…1…
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbs pumpkin puree
- 3 oz apple cider
- 2 oz vanilla vodka (or if you don’t have vanilla vodka, like me, you can use 2 oz of regular vodka with a drop of vanilla extract…just a drop! It doesn’t take much!)
- 1 oz ginger ale (today I learned that ginger ale and ginger beer are not the same thing…and that Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale is also not the same as regular Ginger Ale…so much to learn)
- Vanilla sugar and cinnamon (for the rim)
DIRECTIONS:
Fill a shaker with ice and add pumpkin puree, apple cider, vodka, and ginger ale. Shake like you mean it. In a bowl, pour just a smidge of apple cider. On a plate, mix your vanilla sugar (I’m a fan of Penzeys Spices) and cinnamon. Fill your glass with ice and first dip your glass into the cider and then dip it into the vanilla sugar and cinnamon mix to rim your glass. Pour the contents of the shaker (using a strainer) into your glass. Sip and enjoy the taste of fall.
