Favorite place to read a book: Outside in the sunshine in the summer, and in front of the fire with a blanket in the winter.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Curran from the Kate Daniels series. Not only is he hot, but I’m certain he could get us out of the elevator when the time is right. ☺

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: I’d always had stories in my head and would often use them to battle my insomnia. After I had my first child, I decided to write them down, and after that, I was hooked!

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: Although I swore I’d NEVER change to ebook when they first came out, the ability to change the background to black and bump up the font size for my old, tired eyes, has made me change my tune. It’s also so convenient to carry around 100 books in a skinny tablet.

The last book I read: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren.

Pen & paper or computer: Computer. Occasionally I jot notes with pen and paper but I can never find them when I need them because I grab whatever paper is closest to me. So I’ve learned to go digital and put it in the notes app on my phone.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Lyla, from my book Getting Lucky Number Seven.

If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: The original plan was to be a fashion designer, but then I fell in love with writing. So I guess I might dabble in that, or probably end up in marketing.

Favorite decade in fashion history: Probably the 2000s. It was the era where I felt most like I was into fashion and liked what I found in the stores. All the bright colors made me happy, the low waisted jeans were better at not reminding me I’ve had babies, and we ended the decade by going a bit more classic.

Place I’d most like to travel: I’d love to go back to Italy again, since I only saw Rome, and Greece is definitely also on the list.

My signature drink: Diet Mtn. Dew.

Favorite artist: Right now I’m really digging Julia Michaels and Halsey.

Number one on my bucket list: Hit the New York Times Bestseller list!

Author Bio: Cindi Madsen is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting, revising, and falling in love with her characters. She loves music and dancing and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children. She and her family also take their Marvel addiction very seriously, as their one-eyed cat, Agent Fury, and their kitty named Valkyrie can attest. You can visit Cindi at: www.cindimadsen.com
