HBL Note: I don’t often get asked to feature children’s books so I was pretty excited when the author of It’s Raining…Paisley Pancakes reached out to me through the power of social media! He had heard about me from another reader and messaged me via Facebook to tell me about his book. One of the things I love most about kids is their imagination - I wish we all kept our sense of imagination and adventure that we had as kids. So books that encourage that kind of creativity (while also featuring an adorable dog) are some of my favorites to give as gifts to new moms. Read more about this book below.
