Bio:
Originally from Miami, Florida, Dara Rosenberg is an accomplished voiceover artist who has been recognized nationally for her extensive work in audiobooks and commercial work. She has more than 300 audiobooks to her name, as well as dozens of television and radio commercials.Dara has also voiced audio for websites, documentaries, IVRS, and corporate presentations for Fortune 500 companies. Some of Dara’s notable clients include NBC and Amazon. . She has a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and studied at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy where she majored in Drama and Musical Theater.
Prior to her career in voiceovers, Dara was an accomplished theater actress who has appeared on many television commercials, performed in a national tour, and starred in a number of plays, musicals, and stand-up comedy shows in New York. After studying under some of the best voiceover teachers in New York, she booked her first voiceover commercial in 2010 followed up shortly thereafter with her first audiobook. Since then she has dedicated her career to improving her skills and immersing herself in all aspects of the voiceover industry.
How did you prepare to narrate THE WICKED REDHEAD?
For the Wicked Redhead I had the luck of working with the amazing Julie McKay again! Since this was a continuation of Beatriz Williams' first book, The Wicked City, prep was actually a lot easier than it is for most books. I was continuing the journey that my character Geneva " Gin" Kelly was taking us on. The first thing I did was read the book to see everything that happened next and create my idea for voices for all the new characters that we meet. I also went back and listened to a lot of The Wicked City to make sure my interpretation of Gin was consistent with this next book. It was a pleasure to continue this narration!
