Dancing in the Narrows
Book Feature - Dancing in the Narrows by Anna Penenberg
HBL Note: Did you know I have a chronic illness? It used to be such a big part of my life…and at times all-consuming, like when I spent two weeks in the hospital trying to get it under control or when I was in and out of the hospital for six months while trying to start my Ph.D. program. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and after six months of excruciating pain, numerous tests, and painful procedures I had a colon resection and I’ve been in remission (and on medication) ever since. Still, some days are better than others. It isn’t easy living with a chronic illness.
Dancing in the Narrows by Anna Penenberg is about her journey as she and her daughter try to figure out what is causing her daughter so much trouble and pain. Scroll down to read more.
