Bone Talk is one of those books that plunges you into an incredibly vibrant world and then makes you want to stay. The voice of the book is strong, determined and inquisitive. We want to spend time in the protagonist’s head and in his world. There are actions and heart, danger and understanding. It filled me with a thirst to learn more about Filipino people and culture. A great read with a lot to say.

There is danger, adventure and an ultimate understanding of one’s culture. You will love Samkad, who thinks he is world-wise beyond those in his mountain where he lives.
