It is a Goonies/Indiana Jones style adventure that follows four intertwining storylines. First, there is McCoy, locked in a cell with a journal. Then there is Kim, a little girl on the run because of a secret. Cana, the daughter of a murdered archeologist. She is a tech nerd but with a gun. Finally, a Romeo and Juliet style love story set in Antarctica, the most romantic spot on earth. The Locksmiths are after them all. They are a religious cult trying to prevent the apocalypse by killing emulators and finding the mythical lost seventh key.

Favorite place to read a book: Either in my tree house or my G.I. Joe tent . . . did I mention I have a the maturity of a 12-year-old boy from the 80's? At least I'm admitting it, right?
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Ian Malcom from Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park. Because I would love for him to do that chaos water droplet test that Jeff Goldblum did to Laura Dern in the movie. He could do that to me all day long. Did you see that guy's chest hair and tinted glasses?

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: The first time I sat down a wrote out a scene. It was like I was watching a movie play out in front of me. I didn't know what was going to happen until the words appeared on the screen. I never thought writing would be so fun and rewarding until I spent a couple hours trying it out. I was hooked from then on.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: Audiobook. I have six kids, which means I'm constantly chasing six kids or doing six loads of laundry or making six sack lunches or thinking of six clever ways to avoid having the talk about the birds and the bees. It's hard work. You're losing count of them all the time. On occasion, one or more of them people disappear for while . . . they always show back up. Anyway, I can't be holding a 10-pound hardback while I'm running around doing all this bad parenting . . . I need my Air Pods in to drown out all the crying and screaming.
The last book I read: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Love it. The Martian is my absolute favorite book. I've read it more times than any other book. Project Hail Mary was a lot like that, except for the MC needs to save the entire human race rather than just himself. Plus it has interstellar space travel and all kinds of other stuff that I don't want to spoil. Check it out for sure if you loved The Martian . . . what am I saying? Of course you loved The Martian. Pen & paper or computer: Typing is so much faster . . . I could never write for too long with pen and paper, my story moves too fast. Also, I have this theory that using both hands while typing (versus one hand while writing on paper) engages both sides of your brain, bringing out the most creativity possible. Hey, I need every brain cell I can get. Know what I mean? . . . I'm dumb is what I'm saying.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Probably Wardrobe from the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, because he gets to hang out with the Lion and the Witch . . . I've got a confession to make, I've only read the cover. No idea what it's about. Maybe I don't want to be friends with Mr. Wardrobe.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: Stop Motion Lego Animator for sure. There's no higher calling than bringing those smiling yellow-skinned figures to life on a poorly lit kitchen table with my grandma's VHS camcorder. May she rest in peace, she always had the best silver tech that Radio Shack had to offer.
Favorite decade in fashion history: Tight rolled jeans and ninja turtle bandanas . . . are you kidding which decade?
Place I’d most like to travel: I've always wanted to go to Vienna. I can't think of a better time than coming home and showing my friends a slide show of my trip while serving Vienna Fingers and Vienna Sausages. Don't worry, I'd buy the name brand stuff.
My signature drink: I'm really really ridiculously good looking, so of course I love Orange Mocha Frappuccino.
Favorite artist: None. I'm an uncultured swine
Number one on my bucket list: A full season, month long Tecmo Super Bowl tournament with me and 27 of my closest friends. Whoever forgets to bring a snack gets Tampa Bay.
Anything else you'd like to add: I don't know how the rumor got started but I don't eat apples in one bite like a horse.

Author Bio: Michael Stewart came here to listen to the Cranberries and write books . . . and he's all out of Cranberries.
But seriously, that is not all he does. In Stew's spare time he earns Nintendo world records, including such classics as Back to the Future. LGN never sounded so good. His father always told him as a kid, "Stew, if you're going to break a world record, do it in style."
Stew resides amongst the tallgrass of the Kansas prairie with his beautiful wife and six kids. Yes, you heard that right, she is truly beautiful. They enjoy 8-bit video games, Chiefs football and long walks on the beaches of Kansas. Stew looks young for his age and blends right in with his five boys; looking for him in their family photo is like reading a Where's Waldo book.
