Author I draw inspiration from: Oh this is a tough one because I draw inspiration from so many amazing authors. I guess my all time favorite is Stephen King. His novel, Misery, ignited my passion for psychological thrillers.

Favorite place to read a book: The sofa with my dog (Rodney) on my lap.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Jack Reacher because he’d get us out in a flash.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: When I was seven I wrote a story about a family of peas (they rolled instead of walked) which I sent to a publisher. They sent me a very kind rejection letter and a big pack of stickers. From that moment I knew I would never stop working hard to make my dream come true.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: I read mostly on my e-reader because after a day working at my laptop I like to make the words in the book a bit bigger to ease my eye strain but I read paperbacks a lot too and love to listen to audiobooks in the car.

The last book I read: The Whisper Man by Alex North (no relation).

Pen & paper or computer: Computer all the way. I can type as fast as I think but I can’t write by hand that fast and be able to read it again later.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Madeline from Big Little Lies. No one messes with Madeline.

If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: A teacher.

Favorite decade in fashion history: Got to love those big shoulder pads from the eighties. I have wavy hair that isn’t straight or curly which would also have been perfect for this decade. Hooray for hair strengtheners.

Place I’d most like to travel: I’d love to hire an RV and see more of America.

My signature drink: A very large decaf cappuccino

Favorite artist: Banksy

Number one on my bucket list: Travel the world.
