Author I draw inspiration from: This is such a complicated Q! The short answer is Stephen King. But...I don't write horror. (I write justice.)

Favorite place to read a book: ANYWHERE :) :) :) I just need to be able to curl up and screen out the world.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Jack Reacher.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: I've wanted to be a writer since before I could write--kindergarten or earlier. But I didn't realize I could be an author until I was 29 and someone in my writers' group compared my work-in-progress to a book by Jacqueline Mitchard.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: Hardcover!

The last book I read: The Invited by Jennifer McMahon

Pen & paper or computer: Computer

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Anne from Anne of Green Gables or Trisha from The Girl Who Loved Gordon

If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: Psychologist--I practiced psychotherapy for 10 years (left graduate school when the cursed dissertation got me). But writing was always the dream.

Favorite decade in fashion history: The 80s! Neon, rubber bracelets, parachute pants. Wait, can I change my answer?

Place I’d most like to travel: French Polynesia. If I could get there in a super fast rocket jet and avoid that plane ride especially.

My signature drink: I know this is weird, but it's hot chocolate with tons of whipped cream.

Favorite artist: Recording artist? Or painter? I'm going to go with the latter because who I listen to musically changes day-to-day, while, though I am no kind of art expert, I really love staring at Impressionist paintings whenever I get the chance.

Number one on my bucket list: Honestly, I feel grateful to be living my bucket list. Right now there's a ghastly pandemic, but it at least offers the chance to spend more time with my family, and I get to fall into a story and write it every day. However...I would really like to renovate my bathroom if I ever make it big as an author. Can that be my bucket list item?

Anything else you'd like to add: Thanks so much for this fun Q&A and for reading my book! I hope we get to be in touch.
