Author of Healthy Fashion: The Deeper Truths

My comprehensive manual, a big-picture book inherently interweaves all things fashion. To achieve a circular, new, healthy approach, a multi-faceted approach is addressed. A diverse culmination of topics- from fashion psychology to fashion technology is included.
We are at the time of a spiritual awakening. The fashion industry is in a bit of transition right now. We are slowly catching on to producing and promoting fashion in pursuit of the mind/body/spirit.

My book speaks about multi-dimensional apparel as a part of the spiritual awakening. Meaning, fashion that supports us physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

I wanted to write a book that would be attributed as modern, fresh, and high-fashion for a new age. I have been fashion-obsessed, and I consider myself a fashion ‘psychic.’ I have spent a lot of time and energy creating new concepts for fashion both through artistic, philosophical and through a lot of research as well.

Author I draw inspiration from: I like reading channeled New Age books. One New Age book which is one of my favorites is Telos by Dianne Robbins. Another New Age book is Hanna Kroeger’s New Dimensions in Healing Yourself. She is the author of over 20 novels, and I have read many of them. She was a master healer. A couple of fashion books that I have read that are a couple of my favorite memoirs are Bill Cunningham’s Fashion Climbing, and Christian Dior’s memoir Dior by Dior: The Autobiography of Christian Dior

Favorite place to read a book: I love reading in quiet space

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Hanna Kroeger: The New Dimensions in Healing Yourself. (She is the author of the book. I don't read fiction books with characters, however I would like to sometime)

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: It began many years ago in my early 20s. I loved reading books by Edna Saint Vincent Millay, and Sylvia Plath. I loved to write poetry and short stories. I regret not saving any of my written short stories and poetry, they have been maliciously deleted (long story), but I started blogging about fashion, and writing non-fiction articles. When I was in my early 30s I decided to write a non-fiction fashion book. I have a background of working in fashion for 20 years, and I also went to fashion design school, and I worked a lot of entrepreneurial work, like launching a handmade eco fashion brand Alternative Fashion, for example.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: paperback, and ebook

The last book I read: Between Breaths: A Memoir of Panic and Addiction by Elizabeth Vargas. This memoir was so good.

Pen & paper or computer: I prefer using the computer to type, however I have a journal that I keep my notes in. I write notes in the notebook daily or weekly.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Honestly, I don't read fiction. But, I think I would be best friends with the author in a memoir by the late Bill Cunningham. He wrote Fashion Climbing. His memoir is so awesome, and he is such an interesting person, and quirky and eccentric.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: I would probably be a fashion designer

Favorite decade in fashion history: 1920s because of the Coco Chanel brand. Coco Chanel is my favorite designer. She has inspired me.

Place I’d most like to travel: It's a tie. I would like to travel to Paris, France because I am French Canadian. I would also like to visit the UK, I am English/Irish, and my great-grandmother was born and raised in th UK.

My signature drink: Currently, my signature is coffee.

Favorite artist: My favorite artist/designer would be the late Karl Lagerfeld. His work was truly genius and amazing. He continues to inspire me.
