The Inspiration
Channeling my inner Devon Grace Interiors with this mood board. When we first moved to Chicago in 2016, my mom’s house warming gift to us was a few hours with an interior designer. That’s how Devon and I first met. She created two fantastic gallery walls with our art collection and we became fast friends. This was before DGI. Since then, she started her own interior design company and now designs multi-million dollar homes…so we aren’t exactly her clientele anymore. However, she has GREAT resources on her blog and Instagram account…which I’ve been studying. So, how’d I do, Devon?
And my DGI-esque mood board description: We’ve been working on this project for almost a year and are loving the direction it’s headed in! This home is a cozy post-fire reconstruction in Uptown. The aesthetic for this project is mid-century modern meets Scandinavian simplicity. We’re incorporating crisp whites, moody black accents, warm wood tones, and lots of texture. Can’t wait to share more with you guys as it evolves!
