Blue Sparkle Champagne Cocktail
Blue Sparkle Champagne Cocktail
Happy New Year! Have you chosen a signature cocktail for your upcoming New Year’s Eve? Whether you’re hosting a party or having a quiet night in, you should have something to toast with at midnight. Here’s one option:
Champagne Cocktail Ingredients:
- 1 oz. pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz. blue curaçao
- sparkling wine or champagne
- sugar for garnish
Directions:
If your ingredients aren’t cold, then combine pineapple juice and blue curaçao in a shaker with ice and shake like you mean it. Or, if your ingredients have been chilling in the refrigerator and you don’t want to have another thing to clean, then just combine the pineapple juice and blue curaçao in a champagne flute (or a coupe glass, which is my favorite cocktail glass!) Either way, after your pineapple juice and blue curaçao have made it in your glass, top with champagne. Tip: I prefer a less-sweet drink so I didn’t use all of the pineapple juice and blue curacao mixture in one glass.
Garnish:
I liked how the sugar rim looked a bit like snow, but I always encourage you to garnish in whatever way makes you feel festive. For the sugar rim, dip the edge of your glass in pineapple juice, then dip in sugar. #ahastycocktail
