Author Interview - Sally Hepworth
Author I draw inspiration from: Liane Moriarty
Favorite place to read a book: On a long flight (when my children are not with me)
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Minny from The Help
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: The day my third grade teacher dragged me up in front of the class and it wasn’t to get me in trouble, it was to ask me to read my short story to the class.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: All of them! If I love a book, I usually have it in all formats. Although I find hardbacks more difficult to read—I usually just keep them for show.
The last book I read: The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer and it was SENSATIONAL.
Pen & paper or computer: For writing novels, definitely a computer. For anything else, pen and paper.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Bridget Jones
If I wasn’t an author, I’d be: Rocking in a corner
Favorite decade in fashion history: The 80s.
Place I’d most like to travel: Texas
My signature drink: Gin and Tonic
Favorite artist: Lady Gaga
Number one on my bucket list: … I don’t really have one. I am not a skydiver or bungee jumper. I’d quite like to grow to a retirement age where I can curl up in a chair and read books all day, and watch my children grow up to have lovely lives, but those aren’t really bucket list items, are they?
Anything else you'd like to add: Just that I love this questionnaire.
