Author Interview - Chloe Benjamin
Author I draw inspiration from: Too many to list! Recently, André Aciman and Mary Doria Russell.
Favorite place to read a book: Tucked into bed.
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Albus Dumbledore.
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: Nine years old, fourth grade, in possession of a thirty-page mad scientist short story.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: Either of the first two! I love books as objects, and as a way to get away from screens.
The last book I read: THE DISTANCE HOME by Paula Saunders (Out August 7)
Pen & paper or computer: Usually a computer, but pen and paper if I'm on the road.
If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: Therapist/yarn store owner.
Favorite decade in fashion history: 1930s--give me a floral day dress with a little oomph in the shoulder and I'm happy.
Place I’d most like to travel: Iceland. I'm a rabid knitter, and plus--they believe in elves?!
My signature drink: Wine.
Number one on my bucket list: After everything that happened with THE IMMORTALISTS, I think I'll have to write a new one.
