HBL Note: I just adore the premise of this book - a phone operator named Vivian listening in on her neighbor’s phone calls, getting into everyone’s business. Then she hears a rumor that hits a little too close to home. Is it just a rumor? Or is it true? As Vivian searches to discover the truth, more secrets are revealed. I grew up in a small town and can relate to how rumors spread quickly and it seems the whole town is talking about it.
