Snazzy Cat Capers is the first book in a new middle-grade series, and it is so much fun! Ophelia von Hairball V is quite the diva for a taste of the better things in life. She is a thief, but a lovely cat. She returns all her stolen goods, even if it takes her a little longer than most. I love the graphic novel art and the artwork that is scattered throughout the book, creating a break in reading by visually inserting some of the story into the reading. Reluctant readers will find this book enjoyable to read. Oscar, the sidekick, won’t be taken seriously, even though that’s all he’s ever wanted. The book is filled with laugh-out-loud scenes, action-packed, with fun adventures.

Book 2 of the series, we are introduced to new characters and a partnership with Ophelia’s inventor, Oscar “Fishgerald” Gold, a fish who wears a fishbowl on his head so he can breathe in water. Adventuresome and clever, all readers will love the escapades of these characters.
