Favorite place to read a book: At any table, while eating lunch
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Daniel McAdam from my Below Stairs mysteries, because he’d probably know how to quickly get us out.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: When I was eight and realized that novels were other people’s make-believe written down. I was good at make-believe, so why not write it down?

The last book I read: Donna Leon, The Girl of His Dreams (Brunetti mysteries, #17)

Pen & paper or computer: Both. I can compose in a notebook or with a computer, but computer only from the second draft on.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: No clue! Too many to choose from.
If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: Cinematographer
Favorite decade in fashion history: 1930s
Author Interview with Jennifer Ashley: her favorite decade in fashion history
Place I’d most like to travel: Japan and China
My signature drink: Iced tea
Favorite artist: If we’re talking painters, then Goya
