Charlotte Daniels is a London-based book designer with a background in literature. Following her undergraduate in English and Creative writing, she completed an MA in Publishing at UAL in 2017. Her publishing career started at Bloomsbury Academic before moving to Penguin General in 2020, where she currently designs books across a range of genres including non-fiction, business, lifestyle and commercial and literary fiction.

Inspiration for Bimini Bon Boulash's A Drag Queen's Guide to Life:
It's tough to pick a favourite, but the paperback design for Bimini Bon Boulash's A Drag Queen's Guide to Life has to get an honourable mention. The aim was to create a more punky, underground, zine-like feel than the existing hardback cover, to reflect Bimini's own style and roots. The colours are punky but soft, and the type is delicate but spiky, to play with and challenge ideas of masculine and feminine.
