Author of Don’t Forget to Write
A 20yo girl in 1960 gets caught making out with the rabbi’s son during services (they crash through a stained glass window so EVERYONE catches them) and her parents say she either has to marry the boy or go stay with her matchmaker great aunt for the summer. Figuring a summer of boredom is better than a lifetime of it, Marilyn picks her great aunt, who is not what she expected (in the best of ways) and who helps her figure out what she wants in life.
