Author of Lies My Memory Told Me
Enhanced Memory changed everything. By sharing someone else’s memory, you can experience anything and everything with no risk at all: learn any skill instantly, travel the world from home, and safeguard all your most treasured secrets forever. Nova’s parents invented this technology, and it’s slowly taking over their lives. That’s where Nova comes in. She can pick up the slack for them—and she doesn’t mind. She knows Enhanced Memory is a gift, and its value outweighs its costs.
But Kade says Nova doesn’t even know the costs. Kade runs a secret vlog cataloging real experiences, is always on the move, and he’s strangely afraid of Nova—even though she feels more comfortable with him than she ever has with anyone. Suddenly there are things Nova can’t stop noticing: the way her parents don’t meet her eyes anymore, the questions no one wants her to ask, and the relentless feeling like there’s something she’s forgotten.
But there’s danger around every corner, and her own home might be the most dangerous place of all.
Author I draw inspiration from: There are so many authors I love in all genres and age categories. Recently in Young Adult I've really enjoyed The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline and Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious series.
Favorite place to read a book: On the deck at the lake.
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Kat Bishop from Ally Carter's Heist Society novels because she'd definitely be able to figure a way out.
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: Honestly, I was a late bloomer in this regard. I didn't start writing until my very late twenties - I didn't even have a diary as a kid, but from then on, becoming published was definitely a goal of mine.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: All of the above.
The last book I read: House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland, which was excellent!
Pen & paper or computer: Computer
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Stevie from Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious series.
If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: Editor, Book Seller, or Librarian.
Favorite decade in fashion history: 1920s (the fedoras!)
Place I’d most like to travel: London, UK
My signature drink: San Pellegrino Italian Soda
Number one on my bucket list: Ride in a hot air balloon.
Anything else you'd like to add: Thank you so much!

Author Bio: Once upon a time there was a girl who grew up on a farm outside of a really, really small town with her parents and three sisters (an older, a younger, and a twin).
Over the years she had lots of jobs including realtor, executive assistant, book store clerk, and waitress in a bar named after a dog.
Luckily, she eventually found her passion in writing. She’s also written romantic comedy novels for adults (including a USA Today Bestseller), but her true passion has always been writing for teens.
