Pamela Crane
Author Interview - Pamela Crane
Author of Little Deadly Secrets
Author I draw inspiration from: Tarryn Fisher
Favorite place to read a book: In a hammock beside a pool, or on a blanket by the ocean. Anywhere near water preferred.
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Annie Wilkes from Misery. What author wouldn’t want to be worshipped by a die-hard fan (pun intended!)?
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: I was ten when I wrote a poem dedicated to my grandpa after he died, which won a local literary award with a $200 cash prize. That’s when I realized I could make money writing…and was beautifully disillusioned that authordom could pay the bills (the water bill, maybe).
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: hardcover for my library, paperback on the hammock, eBook in bed.
The last book I read: The Dinner by Herman Koch
Pen & paper or computer: computer, except for when I have middle-of-the-night random musings.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Hazel, the rabbit in Watership Down. What can I say but that I love animals, and they make adorable friends
If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: editor and a mom of four littles (both of which I do full-time).
Favorite decade in fashion history: right now—it seems like every decade of fashion is represented (gotta love the 1980s comeback).
Place I’d most like to travel: Italy to visit my husband’s family.
My signature drink: chocolate mint tea; I’ve even got my kids hooked on it.
Favorite artist: Michael Jackson; the King of Pop never goes out of style.
Number one on my bucket list: travel abroad. Anywhere will do. I just need to get out of my house after all of this quarantining.
Anything else you'd like to add: Thank you so much for having me! And even if you’re not a cute rabbit, I’d love to get to know any readers who’d like to be friends. Hit me up on Facebook, Instagram, or on my website at www.pamelacrane.com and I’ll even send you a free book as a getting to know you gift.
