Author I draw inspiration from: Oh wow, there are so many and for several reasons. At any given day. LOL! But right off the top of my head, I have to say Nalini Singh, Brenda Jackson and Maisey Yates. All three women have amazing work ethics, write such emotional, captivating, wonderful books (I swear, I learn something new from them every time I read one of their books!), are always willing to share their knowledge with other writers, are kind and have astounding longevity in this business. They're who I aspire to be.
Favorite place to read a book: My bed, under blankets with some crime show on TV.
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Because I just finished this five-plus-plus-plus-star read for me... Priest from DEAD MAN WALKING by Giana Darling.
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: So I always wanted to write--ever since I realized no one else was going to pen the epic romance between me and Ralph Tresvant from New Edition. But the moment I knew I wanted to become a published author--at least had the courage to admit it to myself and to other people--was many years later when I visited home (NJ), had dinner with my father at our favorite diner and told him that I visited a local RWA chapter meeting in Birmingham, AL. And that I wanted to pursue being a published author. And he didn't try to dissuade me, or tell me to get my head out of the clouds. He ordered me to go back to the next meeting, join RWA and finish my book. That gave me the courage to get on the path of publishing.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: Oooh. Ebook. 'Cause I can carry a bookcase in my purse.
The last book I read: Dead Man Walking by Giana Darling. Ah-freaking-maziiiing!
Pen & paper or computer: Computer to write. Pen & paper to plot.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Sascha Duncan from Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh.
If I weren’t an author, I’d be: Dr. Phil
Favorite decade in fashion history: 1970s!
Place I’d most like to travel: Narnia
My signature drink: Pina Colada in the pouch--from Walmart :-)
Favorite artist: Imagine Dragons
Number one on my bucket list: The Making of Harry Potter Tour in London! Followed by hugging Jason Momoa!
Anything else you'd like to add: Thank you for having me! I've enjoyed this!
