Author Bio: From Mark Stevens, publicist: While she may only reluctantly admit it, Linda Hayes Chowdry might be equally as adventurous as her late husband, Michael.

As a young woman, she left Texas for Cheyenne, Wyoming, and a new life with her first husband. Nine years later, after enough of Cheyenne and enough of her husband, she traveled across the border to Colorado, where, as a single mother, she worked to support her two young daughters.

Linda met Michael shortly thereafter, in 1981. They were married two years later - the beginning of an exciting, loving, 20-year relationship. Along with her two daughters, Jennifer and Regan, she and Michael had two children, Jim and Olivia.

After Michael’s death in 2001, it didn’t occur to Linda to write a memoir about her immigrant/entrepreneur husband. But, she said, “Michael had a pretty fantastic story to tell. My friends kept saying I should write a book. And, finally, in 2017, I did.”

The three-year effort is paying off with early and enthusiastic reviews.

“My hope is we did it justice,” said Linda. “If it’s just for family, that’s fine, but my hope is to attract a broader audience."

With high praise from all quarters, it appears Linda’s efforts are being positively rewarded with a wide audience indeed.

After more than 35 years in Colorado, Linda recently moved to the San Juan Islands in Washington. There, she says, “it’s as peaceful as it was exciting when Michael was alive.”
