Author I draw inspiration from: I read a lot of romance across a variety of different subgenres. I draw inspiration from many different romance authors across the genre. However, my inspiration to write began with Tara Janzen and Teresa Medeiros.

Favorite place to read a book: My best reading spot is curled up on the couch, covered with a blanket while sipping a hot beverage.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: I didn't even have to think about this one. Christian Hawkins, hero of Crazy Cool by Tara Janzen.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: I can't pinpoint an exact moment. I've always been an author at heart. But reading some amazing romance authors definitely inspired me to pursue my own dream of being a published author and sharing my books with the world.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: I prefer eBook for travel and paperback for at home. If I love the eBook, I'll buy the paperback for my collection.

The last book I read: The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood.

Pen & paper or computer: Pen and paper is my go to for plotting and brainstorming. Computer is definitely easier and faster for my actual writing. My fingers can type faster than they can wield a pen for writing the actual story. Keeping up with my brain is hard work!

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Honestly, I can't think of any off the top of my head. Yikes. Guess I need to think about that one, or I need to read more and find my book BFF.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: Gardener. I love being out in my gardens among the bees and flowers. Maybe an herbalist. I'm fascinated by the history and modern applications.

Favorite decade in fashion history: Oh, I'm torn. Either the 1880s/90s late-Victorian era, or the 1950s pin up vibe.

Place I’d most like to travel: Poland. I want to search for my grandmother's hometown and eat all the Polish foods! The Bavarian region of Germany is one of my favorites, so that would be a close second.

My signature drink: Cabernet Franc. I will never turn down a glass of Italian red wine.

Favorite artist: All of the Pre-Raphaelites. I adore that style of art.

Number one on my bucket list: Fly in a USAF Thunderbird. I have a need for speed.

Anything else you'd like to add: Thank you for being amazing! I appreciate the support and love. xoxo

Author Bio: Kirsten S. Blacketer is a multi-published indie author of both historical and contemporary romance. When she’s not writing, she homeschools her two children and enjoys time with her family. In those moments of freedom, she devours romance novels while sipping a glass of wine. Age has only shown her that writing villains can be just as fun as heroes. Her next life goals are to write a New York Times Bestseller and one day have Adam Driver play a starring role in a film version of one of her books. A girl can dream, right?
