New interviews from the Holistic Wealth Podcast with Keisha Blair
A Holistic Wealth framework broken down into four easy parts to enable you to assess and build wealth in all areas of your life

Author I draw inspiration from:
Maya Angelou
Favorite place to read a book:
In a cozy corner
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:
Neni Jonga from Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Imbue. I really loved that book! I think Neni reminds us of certain truths about happiness and meaning in life. In particular, for those that leave their homes to start a future in a different country.
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:
While I can't pinpoint a specific moment, I started writing poems at a very young age. I started at about age 7 and never stopped writing. The moment I felt the intense desire to share my story with the world was after the death of my husband from a very rare illness and my journey to holistic wealth. When I coined the term "Holistic Wealth", and it started taking off like wildfire, I never dreamt it would spark such intense reactions especially for women. As the founder of the global holistic wealth movement and the Institute on Holistic Wealth, I'm proud of the journey. It was then I knew we were on to something in terms of the Holistic Wealth movement. The “old normal” was never working for women. We were seeing a whole new generation of women (I founded the hashtag #Holisticwealthgeneration) rise up, and they wanted more control over their time and money – to engage in more meaningful experiences, like sabbaticals, and live “a life well-lived.”
As the “Mother of Holistic Wealth” and founder of the Holistic Wealth movement, my journey of tragedy and overcoming life-altering setbacks has more meaning than ever. I am grateful for this journey and for this message.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook:
I prefer paperback every time. There’s nothing like holding a book in your hand and making notes in the corner and carrying it with you everywhere.
The last book I read:
I read two books per month plus I try to read books that are related to my podcast episodes and the guests I feature (some are also authors) on the Holistic Wealth Podcast.
I recently read Black Liturgies by Cole Arthur Riley and it was an amazing read. She's a very talented writer and storyteller.
Pen & paper or computer:
Computer - it's just much easier for me.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with:
Can I say Oprah Winfrey? She's depicted some of my favorite books in film, including "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. I actually have a chapter on Oprah in my book Holistic Wealth where I talk about having a platform that truly represents you. I love her dedication to humanity and teaching lessons from her own life and the lives of others. Thats my core goal now too.
If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:
I'd be a film-maker. I actually wrote a short film entitled "The Moments I Miss" (filmed in Paris). I really enjoyed the process of writing for film and placing myself in the shoes of the main character saying the words out loud and acting out a scene.
Favorite decade in fashion history:
Place I’d most like to travel:
Greece - my daughter keeps bringing up Greece and she shows me these delightful pictures and now I'm hooked.
My signature drink:
My signature drink is one I highlighted in my book Holistic Wealth when I went on a sabbatical and created the recipe. Its a mixture of pineapple juice, and coconut milk, with a hint of mint leaves (to garnish).
