Author of Where You Are
Life never really ends…
Lives are shaped once again by the “winds of change” in this sequel to As the Winds Change. April and her family, Luke, and Johnny return to surprise and stir your heart even more than before! When a life startling event puts April’s story on the proverbial edge, April is led on a journey into the supernatural where she has to decide between her fears and the biggest leap of her life - the love behind or ahead.
Author I draw inspiration from: Patti Callahan Henry
Favorite place to read a book: Anywhere peaceful and cozy.
Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Forrestina Bradley from White River Red by Becky Marietta
The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: When I started creating my first poetry collection in college.
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: paperback, ebook, and audiobook (coming soon)
The last book I read: Stealing Home by Sherryl Woods
Pen & paper or computer: Always pen and paper initially.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Forrestina Bradley from White River Red by Becky Marietta
If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: Singer and Songwriter- that would be a dream, as well, but I do love being an author. I also dream of having my own specialized bookstore/cafe with lots of land and a few wonderful animals. Time will tell.
Favorite decade in fashion history: Ooh, this is a good one. Let's see, 1920s. I love the jazzy, free-spirited feel of the style and those beaded headbands.
Place I’d most like to travel: Oh, there are so many places! I don't think I'd be able to pick one. I'd definitely like to see the wild horses on Assateague Island. That would be breathtakingly beautiful!
My signature drink: Piña Colada
Favorite artist: That's such a tough one, but I would say for music - Mariah Carey (one of my favorite songs- "Always Be My Baby")
Number one on my bucket list: I like to call it an "adventure list", and number one on the list would probably be "Seeing the zebras and elephants in Zimbabwe"- A line from my poem "Adventure List" in my latest poetry book, Scarlet Secrets: Poems.
Anything else you'd like to add: The primary hope and wish I have for my readers to gain from my words and stories is that they leave inspired, comforted, and assured that they are not alone in their feelings and those feelings and unique heart are truly what make them special and irreplaceable.
