Author I draw inspiration from:

My favorite children's books are "Tacky The Penguin" by Helen Lester, "Fritz and the Beautiful Horses" by Jan Brett, and "The Monster at the End of the Book" by Jon Stone

Favorite place to read a book:

For reading on my own, I like to curl up in bed with a good book. If reading a children's book, my favorite audience (aside from my now mostly grown children) is my 30+ neices and nephews.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:

Definitely Jamie Fraser (The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon). Since Jamie has never been in an elevator before, hopefully he would be so stunned that he would completely forget/no longer be married to his wife, Claire, (as he would now be in another time dimension) and promptly fall in love with me.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:

I never sought out becoming an author, although I have ghostwritten a myriad of nonfiction books for other authors. Truly I simply fell in love with reading and the rest followed.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook:

If you love a book enough to reread again and again should be bought in a hardcover edition. Any book that I give a five star rating to, I want preserved in hardcover. Paperback books are perfect for lending to friends with the expectation that they may keep them forever. Ebooks are awesome for binge reading wherever you go. Audiobooks are my obsession--I can read while walking, cleaning, driving. Dislikes? I have none. As long as it is a good book, it can be enjoyed in any form.

The last book I read:

"All My Knotted-Up Life: A Memoir" by Beth Moore. Moore is a beautifully brilliant writer. Her use of descriptive language is phenomenal. She addresses so many difficult topics with grace and an intentionally caring perspective which I admire.

Pen & paper or computer:

I tend to jot down notes, ideas, or rhymes on paper, but write actual drafts on my laptop.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with:

My answer to this one would also be Jamie Fraser (The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon). He is my fictional soul mate, so it is natural that he would be my best friend as well.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:

If I weren't an author, I would still work in the publishing industry (I am the VP of a publishing company).

Favorite decade in fashion history:

Possibly regency era as their dresses seem looser and less restrictive, however, I do admire Edwardian fashion as well.

Place I’d most like to travel:

Anywhere with a beach! My bucket list dream trip, however, would be to go to Italy.

My signature drink:

Water is by far my favorite drink which I am aware is boring, but I still love it!

Favorite artist:

My daughters, Raine and Cadence.

Number one on my bucket list:

A vacation in Italy.
