Author Interview - Ashley Winstead

Author of The Last Housewife

One day Shay Deroy pushes play on her favorite true crime podcast and discovers her best friend from college has been found dead -- and the circumstances of her death almost exactly mirror another woman's death eight years ago...except Shay is now the only person alive who remembers that. To uncover the truth about what happened to both women and understand if their deaths are connected to a spate of missing women in their old college town, Shay goes back to investigate the threads of her friend's life. Tracing her foosteps leads Shay into increasingly secret and sinister circles, until she's forced to confront the very thing she was hoping she wouldn't: her own past and the horrible consequences she herself set in motion. The Last Housewife is a dark, brutal story of revenge that explores complicity, desire, and the complexities of power for women today.
