Author I draw inspiration from: So many. Stephen King because he's just brilliant. I read him and ideas start flowing. Caroline Kepnes--I'm a little obsessed with her. Liz Gilbert when I feel stuck in my head.

Favorite place to read a book: Anywhere! But usually I read in bed with my dog sleeping next to me.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Dorian Gray. I think the elevator chatter would be divine.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: I was six and told my parents I wanted to write. They probably rolled their eyes at me. The year before I said I wanted to be a doctor.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: I'll read anything in any way, though I've been doing ebook more just to make moving around easier.

The last book I read: Sister of Mine by Laurie Petrou. Loved it.

Pen & paper or computer: For journal/diary type writing, pen and paper. For everything else, computer.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: I fall in love with characters constantly. I'd say Joe from You or Carrie. I'd have to find a way to get her to use her powers on people I don't like. Kidding. Sort of.

If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a: I'd want to work near books. My dream will always be to have a book store. Don't we all want that?

Favorite decade in fashion history: The sixties mods are always stunning, but I still love nineties fashion. That Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis collection is moment defining.

Place I’d most like to travel: Everywhere, but I haven't been to the UK in far too long.

My signature drink: Coffee. So much coffee.

Favorite artist: I've always loved the expressionists. There's this painting I saw in a book in a tiny picture years ago. And I've wanted to find it to see it in real life in a museum. It's Two Men at a Table by Erich Heckel. A lot of his work was destroyed by the Nazis who called him a degenerate.

Number one on my bucket list: Enjoy myself! See the world. Have fun, fall in love.
