Favorite place to read a book: I live in Chicago, where our summers are never quite long enough—but my favorite place to read is inside a pool, with the book staying dry on the ledge. That’s my idea of paradise!

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Hmm. The first two characters that came to mind are both from Taylor Jenkins Reid books. Daisy Jones or Evelyn Hugo. They both have plenty of stories that would keep me entertained while we waited to be rescued.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: Is always an answer?  As a kid, there was barely a time my nose wasn’t stuck in a book. I told stories and put on plays before I learned how to write, and once I could put pen to paper, the stories and poems didn’t stop. Of course, most of my life I thought of writing as a hobby. I had no idea it would ever go from a dream to reality.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: I love reading a paperback book, but because of how busy and hectic my life is, I’ve learned to love audio books. I can listen when I’m doing almost everything—except for when I’m drying my hair. I haven’t figured that one out yet.

The last book I read: I’ve got about an hour left in the audio book of Kiley Reid’s ‘Such a Fun Age’ and have been loving it. The last paperback book I read was an advanced copy of Kathleen West’s ‘Minor Dramas & Other Catastrophes’ which I also loved.

Pen & paper or computer: For the most part, computer. With Scrivener up and my ‘Saved at Starbucks’ Spotify playlist on.

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: The first character that comes to mind is Cannie Shapiro from Jennifer Weiner’s ‘Good In Bed.’ That was the first book I read that I could really see myself in a character, so I’d like to think we would hit it off!

If I wasn’t an author, I’d be a:  In addition to being an author, I work in advertising. I started out as a copywriter and am now a creative director. I’m lucky to have two different careers that I’m passionate about!

Favorite decade in fashion history: Oh dear! When it comes to dressing up, I’m a fan of the 20s. But for every day fashion, I’m pretty happy with the current trends, as long as the cuts are flattering. I’m a big fan of the fit and flare dresses.

Place I’d most like to travel: Italy and Greece are high on my current bucket lists.

My signature drink: I pretty much stick to a tall Titos and Soda with lemon these days.  If I’m feeling crazy, I’ll throw a lime in, too!

Favorite artist: Music is a big part of my life—I even thanked several of my favorite bands in the acknowledgment section of my book. A few of my favorites are Red Wanting Blue, Sister Hazel, Alternate Routes, Stephen Kellogg, Aslyn, Amy Gerhartz, Will Hoge, Emerson Hart and Shawn Mullins. I’m clearly not good at picking just one favorite of anything!

Number one on my bucket list: Honestly, I’m living my bucket list dream. Getting a book published and being on this crazy journey has been a dream come true. If I had to pick something, the things that come to mind are travelling to more places, and getting a second bedroom/office so I can have space for the too-much stuff I have, and have room to have guests stay!

Anything else you'd like to add: These have been fun questions to answer, thank you!
